In 2012 U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently released revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for all of Washington County including the City of Stillwater.
These new maps are more accurate than the current 1980’s vintage maps and include a number of changes throughout the City of Stillwater. Most of Stillwater has remained unaffected by changes as they are currently in a Zone X (or outside the 0.2 percent annual chance floodplain) and will remain in a Zone X.
If you would like to know the flood zone for a specific property, please use the Property Information Lookup Application.
If you have any questions about these changes or flood insurance, contact the Community Development Department at (651) 430-8820.
Federal flood insurance is available in our entire community because of our participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
